Back-to-Back Assignments

If automatic checkout is enabled, the VSys Kiosk can do a neat trick: transition a volunteer who is checked in for one thing (job assignment, training, walkup check in job or general job check in like from a job association) to her next assignment. This happens only under specific circumstances:

• The volunteer must have been checked in for at least ten minutes.
• If checked in for an assignment now, the current assignment's end and the next assignment's start must be within nine minutes of each other.
• The start of the next assignment must be between five and ten minutes in the past and the VSys Kiosk must be running during that 5-10 minute period. The VSys Kiosk will not look back more than ten minutes in time to find volunteers who need transitioning.
• The next assignment's start must be after the current assignment's scheduled start.

When all of these conditions are met, the VSys Kiosk will check the volunteer out of what she's doing now as of the start time of the new assignment, credit her with the appropriate hours, and put a note in the Comments field for that hours record. It will then check her in to the new assignment as of that assignment's start time.

Checking Do not perform automatic checkout/check in between back-to-back jobs in the kiosk advanced settings will disable this feature.
