Updating VSys One

Updating VSys is a simple process: replace two files, VSys.exe and, if applicable to your organization, VSysKiosk.exe. There are no DLLs to update, nor any other required files. Remember that the VSys.ini file must be in place from your previous installation. If you want to do your upgrade in a different folder, copy the VSys.ini file from the old folder into the new one.

If the new version requires a schema change to the database, VSys will prompt you before running that update. See VSys Schema Updates for more information.

After any upgrade, be sure to run the Rebuild various lookup indices tool on the Administrator tools panel. For an upgrade from any older version to VSys One version 1.7 or higher, it's especially important that you run two options:
