Volunteer Types

Volunteer types are used to let you subdivide your volunteers into different classes. You can filter, sort and report on people based on this value, and this field can be used for non-volunteers if that's appropriate for your organization. Find Volunteer types on the Setup panel, under People.

Some VSys customers have asked about using this field for other data. Since you can define all the options here, use it however it is useful for you!

Someone who is not a volunteer is still allowed to have a volunteer type.

Deleting a volunteer type removes that volunteer type from all people who currently have it.

If there are no volunteer types defined, or if they are all Inactive, the Volunteer type field will not show in the Profile editor.
