If you set a Datatable style, or you select "(default)" and one is set for the VSys Live site in general, you'll get a very powerful display listing that supports sorting, pagination, searching, printing and exporting.
If you don't, listings rendered as an HTML table can't be sorted by the site visitor within VSys Live, but they give you a certain amount of flexibility using CSS. The settings below determine how the table will be generated, and the classes & styles are applied to the table and its block. 
There's rarely a good reason not to use datatable styles!
