Jobs - On the left side, you'll see the field Click to add slots. Click this to open up the job groups and jobs defined (globally or for this project.) Click on a job, and then drag it over to the calendar grid to make a new job slot with this job.

Volunteers - On the bottom of the right margin, this appears when a job slot is selected and that slot has one or more people. You can drag people from one slot to another, or right-click on the person to Edit the assignment, work with the Person, Change status, Delete assignment, See tracked changes, or see Transitions.

Separate this assignment from the job slot takes the assignment and makes it a non-slot assignment. After that the assignment's detailed properties can be edited. Note that if you don't change anything about the assignment, VSys may re-link in to the job slot again since it will automatically tie assignments to matching job slots where possible.

Date - On the left navigation bar, this controls which date shows on the calendar. Click on any date to move to that date.

Time interval - This controls the duration represented by each row on the calendar grid (in minutes).

Day starts/Ends - Use this to define when your business day starts and when it ends. Setting these limits the times of day shown on the calendar.

Jobs, Locations, Show slots - Also on the left navigation bar, these filter the jobs and slots which will display on the grid. Locations control the columns - one column for each selected location - when in single day mode.

Individual job slots - Slots with no people show in gray, one or more volunteers but not enough are in yellow, filled slots in green.

Right-click on a slot to edit it, assign a volunteer, or remove it from the schedule.

You can also drag the slot from one time or location to another with the mouse, resize it to change its duration, or squeeze it from the top to change its start time.

Non-slot/recurring assignments as show on the job slots calendar tool

Non-slot/Recurring assignment - This is an assignment occurring at this location which is not associated with a specific need. It may be a non-slot assignment or a recurring assignment. Recurring assignments are noted with the appropriate text in the caption. These can be hidden on the calendar by un-checking Show non-slot assignments.

Right-click on an assignment to edit it, find a replacement, edit or work with the volunteer, or delete it from the schedule.

You can also drag the assignment from one time or location to another with the mouse, resize it to change its duration, or squeeze it from the top to change its start time.

Link showing locations not currently displayed on the job slots calendar tool

When you've selected a day that has job slots in locations that aren't shown, this link shows the number of "invisible" locations. Clicking on this link will show all of those locations.
